CORE TASKS OF PSYCHOTHERAPY: WHAT 'EXPERT' PSYCHOTHERAPISTS DO
BY DONALD MEICHENBAUM, PH.D.
Dear Division 29 Colleagues and Friends,
I'm pleased to announce that Division 29 will hold its 2008 midwinter Board meeting in conjunction with Division 42, Psychologists in Independent Practice. At this joint Midwinter meeting the Boards of the two divisions will work together to develop opportunities for collaboration. A very exciting feature of the Midwinter Meeting will be an all-day workshop presented by Donald Meichenbaum, Ph.D. entitled: Core Tasks of Psychotherapy: What 'Expert' Psychotherapists Do (click for more details) . It is part of my Presidential Initiative on bridging research and practice. Please see the accompanying announcement about this exciting event. The workshop provides six hours of APA-approved continuing education credit. Members may register for only $120 and this includes breakfast and lunch as well. Please plan now to join your Board of Directors, colleagues, and friends to attend this great event. The facility provides numerous great leasure activities and is on a beautiful beach. Plan your 2008 winter getaway now. I hope to see you there.
