Irene produces and hosts, MAKING CONNECTIONS, an award winning Cable TV program. Making Connections deals with Psychological, Health and Social Issues. Her last presentation (March 23) "Cancer and the Older Adult' hosted members of the Professional Education Committee of the American Cancer Society. Irene is the only Psychologist to serve on this highly specialized Committee.

Irene was honored by the RICHMOND COUNTY PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION, by designating her for an award that bears her name. The Dr Irene Deitch Humanitarian and Public Service Award was presented at the Annual Brunch (April 23), to Three Fire Fighters who played an major role in 9/11 rescue efforts and post-9/11 organization of "A Healing Garden" on Staten Island.

Irene was appointed to serve on APA's Ad-Hoc Committee on Films and Other Media.
