THREE ANNOUNCEMENTS
# 1. CALL FOR PAPERS:
The growth of any field is importantly dependent upon the development of new approaches. We are interested in organizing a special issue of Psychotherapy focused on empirical studies of new psychotherapy treatments. Of interest are full-length manuscripts representing the culmination of preliminary studies of new treatments or new integrations of existing treatments. We are also interested in brief reports presenting preliminary investigations of such treatments. Both types of studies should provide the field with heuristics for future empirical, theoretical, and clinical work.
Deadline for submission of manuscripts is September 30, 2007.
Inquiries should be sent to Charles J. Gelso (gelso@psyc.umd.edu). Please submit manuscripts electronically at http://www.apa.org/journals/pst/submission.html and mail two hard copies to: Charles J. Gelso, Editor, Psychotherapy Theory, Research, Practice, and Training, Department of Psychology, University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland 20742-4411.
Please get the word out on this Call for Papers to colleagues who may not be members of Division 29.
# 2. Editor Gelso is interested in ideas about special sections and special issues, and recommendations as to people who might guest edit such sections/issues. Please contact him at gelso@psyc.umd.edu with your thoughts.
# 3. Editor Gelso also is interested in publishing Practice Reviews. For more details, please see p. xi in the Winter 2006 issue of Psychotherapy.
