CHAIR  

Michael Stuart Garfinkle graduated from York University in Toronto Canada with a BA (Hons.) in Psychology. He received an MA in Clinical Psychology from Adelphi University’s Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies where he is currently a PhD candidate. Michael is also a candidate in adult psychoanalysis at the New York Psychoanalytic Institute. His research interests include the history and theory of psychoanalysis and theories of mind.

COMMITTEE MEMBERS

Andrea Current graduated from Bowling Green State Univeristy with a B.A. in Psychology in 2004. She is currently pursuing her Psy.D. degree at the School of Professional Psychology at Wright State University. Her interests include personality assessment, panic disorder, and family therapy.

Jim Mosher is a third year in Miami University's clinical psychology program. His research interest is in studying the process of change in psychotherapy. Clinically, he is a humanist who integrates client-centered, constructivist, and experiential perspectives. He enjoys working with severely disturbed populations and personality disorders. In his spare time, he plays bass and piano, cheers for the Green Bay Packers and Michigan State Spartans, and watches the Simpsons.

 

Theodore Nnaji is originally from Nigeria. He graduated with a B.A. (Hons.) in Philosophy from St. Joseph Major Seminary in Ikot Ekpene, Nigeria. He also received his M.A. in Psychology from City College of New York. Currently, he is a graduate student in the Psy.D. program at School of Professional Psychology at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. His research interests focus on cross cultural psychology, aculturaion and mental health, and psychotherapy.

Amber Paukert received a B.S. in Psychology from Texas A&M University and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Houston. Her research interests focus on various matters related to depression including, but not limited to, treatment, its interpersonal impact, and suicide.

  Hugo Schielke completed his M.S. in couples and family therapy at the Family Institute at Northwestern University, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the Miami University. His research interests focus on psychotherapy process.
